GNSS Inertial Navigation System (INS) Mobilisation

Spectrum’s mobilisation technicians had a busy weekend preparing for an upcoming geotechnical survey.

Over a two-day mobilisation, the team installed and configured the vessel’s GNSS Inertial Navigation System (INS) before carrying out a comprehensive dimensional control survey.

Dimensional control plays a critical role in offshore survey operations, providing the accurate offsets between sensors, vessel reference points and survey equipment that underpin reliable positioning performance.

By verifying the positioning framework during the mobilisation, the processes helps ensure accurate data acquisition, efficient offshore operations and confidence in the final deliverables.
